    HELP!

    in General Discussions

Can someone please answer that eternal question, "How do you know when your painting is done?". I thought I was finished but then I keep finding ways to tweak it.

A very wise teacher told me that it is done when you can only get 2% improvement on it.

It takes two artists to paint a painting. One to paint it and one to tell the other artist when she is done.

: :) :) Yes Robin, it's hard to tell when it's the time to stop... I suppose it should be the moment that one would rather to get to start with another piece, as it was in my case... :) and often time, we knew by our instincts if you know what I meant ...

That's how I knew mine was done. I was ready to move on to another painting!
