Life keeps getting in the way....

    in General Discussions

While I'm finishing a project for the City of Rolling Hills Estates, I'm thinking way too much about how I will do my "Milky Whale". Find myself waking up early with new ideas, people whose work I want to check out etc. I know I will draw on my early experiences inking comics for Hanna-Barbera, but I didn't do the color on them. So I'm looking at art where the colors really grab me - I want my whale to look like that!

Kind of sorry that I haven't taken a class from Miyuki Sena who does gorgeous colors, and that I never became proficient using gouache since my friend Brad Hicks used it when doing his beautiful illustrations for Disney. Hopefully, by the time I actually put a brush to paper, I will have figured how to do it!

Are you painting the milky way with your whale? or a milky white colored whale? can’t wait to see what you come up with! Have you done underwater paintings? Would have beautiful colors!
