Seeing Through Stars .. begins!

So is anyone else who works in oils getting anxious about finishing early enough to be dry by 15 March?? I definitely was .. since I typically work with thick palette knife or layers upon layers of paint mixed with oil medium. So I set a timeline to start this weekend .. here we go!!! First big decision: size. I chose a 20x20” square canvas gallery wrapped - it just spoke to me. So hard to commit! Next I painted the requisite black edges on 3 of the 4 sides - then filled in the white background with palette knife. Then the fun began! Started working light with grays and white to work on composition - changed it up from my sketches quite a bit since they were rectangular. Shapes are almost there... too wet to go any further for a few days! It’s still pretty ugly so far - will send WIP photos when it gets to where it actually looks like something! Lol

Congrats getting paint on canvas. I suspect we will have some freshly painted (wet) masterpieces...all ok if you paint thick and only have 2 months
