I am still not fully committed to my story and I have not begun to paint yet. I have done several thumbnail sketches to see what flows best and pleases me. I have to make sure the reason I like the sketch is not soley out of ease and comfort of the familiar. I am continuing to rethink the story line and the visual impact it may have. I hope this does not paralyze my actual painting.. I do best when I can visualize what I will be painting...even if the visual is in my memories. I have neither reference here. All new, all consumingly new. What has been a major challenge for me thus far is to create and decide on a story from a source title that I did not create. I also may try it working in a bigger canvas that originally had planned , a limited palette, and who knows if I go with the story I initially thought of. But, I do not want to overthink this either! My goal is once I commit to paint on canvas that it looks fresh and not overworked and conveys a story or elicits an emotional response from the viewer. This project is an adventure!!!!

I so dig the closing line you have shared here Debbie (the Jan. 17th post), yes, it is a wonderful adventure !!!
After more sketches than I expected, I believe I have my story laid out in a composition to my satisfaction. In my mind I keep changing my color palette.
I am still not settled on if Peter Pan and his shadow will be flying or standing. I pretty much have Wendy and her showdow sketched out. Tinker Bell is coming along. I better begin painting soon. I have a feeling we will be displaying some wet paintings including mine.
