I am still not fully committed to my story and I have not begun to paint yet. I have done several thumbnail sketches to see what flows best and pleases me. I have to make sure the reason I like the sketch is not soley out of ease and comfort of the familiar. I am continuing to rethink the story line and the visual impact it may have. I hope this does not paralyze my actual painting.. I do best when I can visualize what I will be painting...even if the visual is in my memories. I have neither reference here. All new, all consumingly new. What has been a major challenge for me thus far is to create and decide on a story from a source title that I did not create. I also may try it working in a bigger canvas that originally had planned , a limited palette, and who knows if I go with the story I initially thought of. But, I do not want to overthink this either! My goal is once I commit to paint on canvas that it looks fresh and not overworked and conveys a story or elicits an emotional response from the viewer. This project is an adventure!!!!
