I just ordered and received two different sizes of a tjanting - tools to hold melted wax and apply in smaller lines and spaces. Takes some experimenting, but I'm having fun trying it out. I think it will work! I'm about to transfer my drawing to rice paper and try it in batik. Unlike the oil painters, who must allow for drying time, watercolor and batik dry much faster. I can try again if the first one doesn't work.
Also, as my thoughts keep coming, I have a new idea (same AYTWIT) for maybe a second take - then decide which I like better? Lots of swatches of experimenting - see what works for the various parts. Happy painting to all.
Sounds unique :)
Sounds exciting.
I know what you mean about swatches, my desk is completely covered with small pots of trial paint, and the results of each trial. Hardly room to work on the project itself!
