There was a great deal of excitement at La Venta Inn on the 10th of January, where 35 artists were anxiously awaiting their spin of the wheel. Each artist had a choice to take the 1st fortune or a 2nd. I decided to keep the first fortune yet I had much trepidation about what to do.... My fortune says," To the Death...To the Lighthouse...."

One solution was to add birth before death. This helped me immensely . Now I had a focus.

I chose to remember my loved ones that have passed on and to remember people that have made a positive influence towards making our world a better place such as Martin Luther King, George Washington, Thomas Edison, President Obama, Kobe Bryant and so many others.

I painted the rain that represents tears for the souls that have entered the heavens of the unknown.

The Lighthouse represents the light that God gives us for eternity. The birds represent the

Holy Spirit that takes our souls to heaven once our heart rests it's final beat.

I want this painting to be a work of solutions for what can happen if we all unite under the umbrella of love for mankind. Forgiveness will conquer what hate cannot. Love will conquer what man alone cannot. Truth of self gives us the freedom to flourish which is vital to our survival. Ask the Wolf.
